A non-partisan, nonprofit group called Nagrik Manch is dedicated to the improvement of Bihar's rural communities.

Nagrik Manch's main areas of interest are:

• Providing education to underprivileged children 

• Programs carried out under MGNREGA 

• Women Empowerment 

• Blood Donation camps

• Supporting labor rights 

• “Anna Daan” for poor 

• Water supply in remote areas

Nagrik Manch Barbigha (NMB) uses empowerment and education to spread knowledge among rural populations. NMB is certain that collaborative, participatory action is necessary for healthy, long-term community development.

Living in rough areas provides NMB with a variety of issues as well as difficult working circumstances. Working with communities to provide workable solutions to the problems encountered by rural people helps to get past these obstacles. NMB helps individuals live lives of dignity and respect by inspiring the impoverished to take steps to better their own living situations.

Watershed management in severely degraded landscapes, the development of unconventional energy sources like biogas for cooking at home, community health care, and the promotion of women's clubs and youth organizations are some of the initiatives being performed by NMB.
